Philpotts, the upmarket sandwich chain, has taken a 15 year lease for 2,000 sq ft of space at the former Co-op department store in Upper Parliament Street.
Units 1 and 2 within the scheme were previously let to Christopher Wray Lighting. Nottingham based Chartered Surveyors heb negotiated the surrender of this lease allowing the units to be sub-divided with Philpotts taking occupation of unit 2.
Jonathan Emmerson of heb comments: "The Axis is an ideal location for Philpotts given its close proximity to Market Square and Maid Marian Way, Nottinghams primary business district. We are currently in discussions with a number of high profile parties for the remaining unit."
James Greenway, Director of Henry Boot Developments, comments: "This is another quality operator for The Axis that will add to our tenant mix, whilst also increasing the schemes capital value. By negotiating the surrender of the Christopher Wray lease and sub-dividing the units we have created a higher rental income."
The Axis was recently voted Best Mixed Use Development Of The Year by Property Week Magazine and also Best Commercial Development at the Nottingham Evening Post Awards.
